For an international production company in the Terneuzen region, we are looking for a Quality Coordinator Chemistry. In this role, you are responsible for quality at the local site and work closely with colleagues from the quality department in Spain.

Full-time | Day shift 08:00 – 16:00 | Direct employment | Prospect of a permanent contract

Your Role

As Quality Coordinator Chemistry, you are the main point of contact for quality at this location. You monitor, control and improve the quality of both incoming raw materials and outgoing products. You work independently, while maintaining close contact with colleagues nationally and internationally.

You will be given the freedom and responsibility to further optimize and safeguard quality processes within an international production environment.

What will you do?

Your work consists of a combination of hands-on tasks, analysis and administration:

  • Performing daily quality checks on incoming raw materials(including Urea, MAP, SOP, MKP, ammonium nitrate, KCL, urea phosphate)

  • Checking outgoing products and NPK formulas with additives(iron, manganese, boron, copper, molybdate, etc.)

  • Calculating and reworking off-spec products

  • Collecting samples and coordinating external laboratory analyses

  • Following up and interpreting analysis results

  • Checking labels for correctness, compliance and print quality

  • Maintaining and updating the quality manual, procedures and improvement plans

  • Administrative processing and reporting of quality controls(approximately 50% of your working week)

  • Contact with sales and customers regarding quality questions and complaints

  • Coordinating with quality colleagues in Spain

International Collaboration & Communication

  • You work closely with colleagues from the quality department in Spain

  • Excellent command of the English language is essential to prevent miscommunication

  • Knowledge of the Spanish language or Spanish culture is a strong advantage

  • At this location, you are independently responsible for quality, while being supported by the wider organization

Wij verwachten van jou

  • MBO or HBO degree, preferably in a chemical or chemical-technical field

  • Experience with quality management or quality control is required (junior candidates with a solid chemical background and interest in quality are also welcome)

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Strong communication skills, accurate and proactive working style

  • Able to communicate professionally and diplomatically assertive with customers and colleagues

  • Mature enough to take independent responsibility

  • Comfortable with both administrative tasks and working in a production environment

  • You are living in the Terneuzen region and within a reasonable commuting distance.
